Nature's Artist

The artist has come from his home of all tints
Swift as old Santa Claus he
Will garnish the forest, the fields and the glens
With his beautiful colors for thee

As swiftly he works with color and brush
The fair cheeks of nature will all blend and blush
Spreading over the earth these colors so gay
I will speak to the soul of God's nitetime and day

The same fair artist that paints for thee
These lovely colors that you can see
Comes every year his work to renew
Each time he applies his brush to you

For over the face of man so fair
He touches a wrinkle or else gray hair
As years pass these tints so gay
The locks once black have been streaked with gray

The face once smooth and round and fair
Has been touched with wrinkles here and there
The artist that paints these pictures so fair
Is the master of artist from everywhere.
