My Prayer

Everything speaks to me of God
I see His smile in the earth we trod

I feel His goodness in the air
And breathe with His gift this thankful prayer

"Thanks that you have given to me
The knowledge to know and learn to Thee

"That I am thine dear God above
Thine to punish and thine to love

"All the blessings I here enjoy
Makes me the closer to thee cling
And to thee my joys and sorrows bring."
