Songs of Praise
In a shady woodland
Among the trees
With warbling birds
And humming bees
With sighing from
The silent trees
Waved to them
By the summer breeze
The bubbling tune
Of the little brook
All speak to my heart
From this cozy nook
They are praising God
For his blessings free
Trying to teach
His love to me
And over my soul
His goodness creeps
From my heart
To you it leaps
In songs of praise
For these blessings free
The birds the bees
The sighing trees.
Among the trees
With warbling birds
And humming bees
With sighing from
The silent trees
Waved to them
By the summer breeze
The bubbling tune
Of the little brook
All speak to my heart
From this cozy nook
They are praising God
For his blessings free
Trying to teach
His love to me
And over my soul
His goodness creeps
From my heart
To you it leaps
In songs of praise
For these blessings free
The birds the bees
The sighing trees.
