Winter

'Tis winter, cold winter
That has come to us again
'Tis his snowy robe of winter
That adorns the window pain
The tree all stripped of summer green
Now decked to be his fairy green
Show little castles old and quaint
From which comes murmurings low and faint
Were little fairy flakes of snow
None but old winter's breath can blow
We come to you from realms of bliss
To give the earth a raptureous kiss
Then merry sunshine sweet and fair
Smiles on old winter's snow-white hair
To warm his breath and send each ray
Down where we little snowflakes lay
We will melt and touch earth's heart
She will blush and spring will start
That all old winter's fairy green
May deck themselves in summer green.
