Beautiful Star of Bethlehem
Did we once dwell on you
And did we fall from the Grace of God
Because we were not true?

Did I have any loved ones there
Who sought out good to know
To become an angel of mercy
Unto fallen man below?

Beautiful Star of Bethlehem
I love of your light to know
I'm glad that Jesus, Son of God
Is heir to this Kingdom here below

I hope he rescues many
With joy may their eyes grow dim
I am wanting to do all the good I can
Since I've sought to know of Him

Who earned God's footstool as His throne
Bound hearts with love to light
Through meek and humble sacrifice
Proclaimed the tree of life

I want to live upon this earth
With Jesus as my king
When evil's joined in death
That peace a thousand years might ring

When the evil is made His footstool
If on a dark pit unbound
I hope another heir as true
As Jesus can be found

I want this earth to be cleansed from sin
And become a heaven for the good
And if I should have any loved ones fall
Be an angel of mercy if I could

Think of this earth being cleansed from sin
And becoming a star of Heavenly Light
Evil is fighting hard the good
But God's bringing His promises all about

His Kingdom to come, His will to be done
On earth as it is in Heaven
That beautiful day is dawning fast
The clock has passed striking eleven

There are some who smile and laugh to say
There is no God we need obey
We just came here to live and grow
Without once thinking why 'twas so

Ere why the stars shine bright above
From whence comes all the warmth of love
Ere why we telegraph our thoughts
To things that are, and think them naught

Beautiful Star of Bethlehem
Light of the earth below
The connecting link to fallen man
I love of your light to know.
