Faith, Hope and Charity kind true friends
Companions are they all three
Where Faith and Hope are little twins
With fair sweet Charity
Where ere sweet Faith and Hope are born
Sweet Charity will abound
With loving sacrifice enough
To extend to all around

When you are crowned with Faith and Hope
Sweet Charity brought from above
That you can see the beautiful light
That fills the heart with love
God's light of truth brings to you
You'll seek to live lives of righteousness
With eternal life in view

When you have gained eternal life
Your light will still shine on
'Till you would be willing to bear a cross
Or wear a thorny crown
If you could rescue those from the darkened pit
From their depth of sins and plight
If you could save a multitude
Who are lost to the ray of light

Perhaps a brother that you love dear
In the darkened pit may fall
When God goes forth again to conquer death
His mercy shall be for all
Surely then shall sweet Charity have a work
For the light that brings love so true
God will make them rulers of many
Who will faithfully rule the few.
