It all began the Christmas of 1974, Marilee Baker, now 12, asked for ice skates. The rest is family history.  Her mother, Sandra, bought some for herself as well and in rapid succession "skating fever" hit the rest of the family. In their premier tour with Holiday On Ice, you will meet the parents, Sandra and Parley, as well as, Marilee 12, Laura 11, Monet 9, Adam 7, and Brenda 4. The girls will charm you in Sesame Street as they romp with their puppet playmates. The entire family lends its collective charm to our "Reflections On Ice."

I’m a family-first kind of girl. Friends are great, yes, but families are unique forces in their own right – kneaded with memories and experience and perspective. And I often think of the legacy my own family will leave – is leaving. The knowledge shared from great-grandmother to grandmother to mother to daughter and beyond. I recently received these photos from my Grandmother's scrapbook in an effort to document those stories that have knotted my own family ties after realizing how easily they can slip away if we’re not intentionally sharing them with another. To that end, I’ve rounded up a few interesting snapshots to post online which focus on the beauty of our family – a generation full of trials and triumphs and everything between: enjoy.
